Any chance there will be a re-theming of Goofy's barnstormer to fit the expansion? If not, that would be a real shame as that is the only kid-oriented coaster in all of WDW.

That is great news...my nephews will be pleased.
The current rumor is Barnstormer will rethemed to The Great Goofini. Google Great Goofini. There was once a children's book written about the Great Goofini. This fits perfect into Circusland. This also proves to me the area will not be Dumbo's Circus as once believed, but a larger circus themed area. And this also means, in my opinion anyway, the rotting circus tents in Toontown will be replaced. BLAH. :ack:
Well, if they need a back story, this fits the theme.
I have this book. Titled "Hunt for The Great Goofini", it's part of the Look and Find series.
In the book, Goofy is a missing Magician from the County Fair. Not much of a story, but kids love searching for Goofy and all the other items. The book was published in 1993.
We're down to the last few days! My DS and I are headed over tomorrow to pay our respects.
My mom will be in mourning for a little while after tomorrow...she loves Toontown, especially the houses. She would move into Minnie's house and live there if she could! :secret: I'm a little sad to see Toontown go, but more excited to see what's going to be in its place soon!
My oldest loved walking through the houses when he was younger. We are all excited about the changes. I cannot wait for Beauty and the Beast. Change is good. Right???
I'm now sort of disappointed in myself that I didn't give Mickey's Toontown Fair one last walk-through when I was down there. Sure, it's not quite aimed at my demographic, but I feel like I should have at least stopped by at least once more before it was gone forever.
Good thing the new Fantasyland is going to be amazing.
Just added the pics I took yesterday to our FB page.
Oh PRETTY PLEASE don't start posting stuff on Facebook that I can't see on intercot.com!
I may only be 29 but you won't catch me on FB even if someone held a gun to my keyboard. I am actually unable to figure it out the few times I have poked around (regular poked not FB poked). :old:
The photos are great! Thanks for sharing! So sad to see them go...but so excited to see what is coming in 2013! :D
The intention is to eventually take the best pictures and move them to the site - but for expediency, Melanie posted to the FB page as we'll do from time to time.
We're working on updating the site to allow more speedy posting - but for now, we're doing the best we can.
Got the pictures uploaded here on INTERCOT. Go under the Community tab on the blue tool bar above and choose Pictures & Albums.

Thanks for the photos, Mel!
Our youngest son was in tears over Minnie's house, and I haven't got the nerve to tell him that Mickey's house is also gone. He has always loved going there. :(
Change is good ... but it is often a bit bittersweet.
You know I sort of feel the same way.
It was never an area that appealed much to us in recent years (DD was too old for Princesses and DS was a bit too young to care), but when DD was young she had a great time in there. I wish we had gone through one last time and taken some pics and looked around.
Don't know why we didn't really ... I think I just sort of forgot it was closing down so soon.
Good Bye Toon Town! I always thought that that was space that could have been used better. The barnstormer was a good addition, but the rest...
My girls did enjoy the play area over there when they were little. Will the train station still be open over there. We have taken the train many times back over to Main Street.
On to the new....
