Not at the parks. I did get bit by one at POFQ but never had any issues with them actually in the parks.
I have at the resorts, and at AK. Less so at Epcot or MK.
Mosquitoes are the state bird of Florida.
I never use bug repellant but I always come back from WDW with insect bites. I am one of those mosquito magnet type people. It's usually my ankles/lower legs.
I don't think any of us have ever gotten any bug bites anywhere on WDW property. I leave the bug spray at home.
Just got back, 1 bug bite in 7 days. First time I have ever gotten a bug bite while there. My daughter is a mosquito magnet and didn't get bitten at all. I wouldn't worry about bringing bug spray.
Like Chris, I have gotten bit while at the resorts. Only one bite on my Labor Day weekend trip to Wilderness Lodge, but had many bites from staying one night in the Poly studios in April.
I have been bitten on train between Main Street and Frontierland. Don't remember any other itching trips but that trip I wished I had brought anti-itch creme.
If you get a bite and don't have any anti-itch spray/ lotion, you can also stop at the First Aid station in any of the parks. I had an allergic reaction to the heat and sweat while we were there in August (I know- who is allergic to their own sweat!). The First Aid station had Calomine gel for the itching. I was so happy to see it wasn't the usual pink Calomine lotion so that I didn't have to walk through Animal Kingdom with pink legs all day.
We never bring bug spray and have been fine. Only place we found that we needed it was at Vero Beach because the mites on the beach will bite you up in the mornings.
Enjoy your trip.
I can't remember a single time we have been bitten. We never bring bug spray and haven't needed it. I am a complete magnet for mosquito's here in WI so I love going to WDW and not getting bit!
Also DTD my wife noticed more bug bites.
We have never used a bug spray and no bug bites that I can ever remember. We always stay at Port Orleans Riverside with a river view so lots of water nearby. Now that said...one time I developed a horrible itchy raised rash over most of my body....had forgotten that one of my medications made me sensitive to sunlight and forgot to put on sunscreen. I stopped by a first aid station at Magic Kingdom and they gave me a bunch of packages of clear calamine and benadryl gel mixed. It was wonderful for relieving the itch. So if you did get bit you could probably stop by there and get some of that gel to take care of the itch.
