We were thinking about AKL next year and I would really love to do the sunrise safari but you have to stay in a club level room. I don't mind paying the difference but I is there anyway to pay extra to be guaranteed a savannah room??? I would hate to give up such a wonderful view!!!!!
I am staying AKL club level starting Friday. I have been in contact with IPO and requested a room closer to the elevators/lobby and asked if we could get a savnnah view room. Ben from IPO replied that having booked a club level room would guarantee a 4th floor Arusha Rock savannah view room for us and that he had also added to our reservation a room close to the lobby. This will be my 8th time staying at AKL in a club level room and we have always had a savannah view. I know that some people on these boards will tell you that booking club level doesn't guarantee the savannah view but IPO will tell you that is does. Also the sunrise safari is awesome and we may do it again next Sunday!
I have had a pool view while concierge and didn't expect it and forgot to request savanna...plus it was in january and the pool was closed for refurb and it was a TERRIBLE view!
1) Some people will not get a savanna view.
2) You can request one.
3) But, no guarantees.
Since the resort was modified and AKV added, all the standard club level rooms have a savannah view. That being said, there is always the smallest possibility, that due to maintenance issues or something else, that you could end up with a different view. This hardly ever happens with the standard club levels, so I wouldn't even be concerned about it.
