Anyone used Scooter Bug? I was wondering what kind of experience you've had and what model you've used. I see mixed reviews online, but that's pretty much the case with all the scooter rentals:confused:

We haven't. We have rented from Buena Vista (they were fine) and Gold Mobility (they were amazing) and Apple (you've got to be kidding me, rent from anyone but them).
I've also rented from Gold Mobility and Buena Vista, also Walker. I never rented from Apple-once I saw that their Better Business Bureau rating was an F, that scared me off. Sounds like maybe I made a good choice! I had the same experiences as the above poster with the ones I rented from. Another loyal Gold Mobility customer here.
We rented from ScooterBug in October and had no issues with the experience. We thought we were having a charging issue to find out we really were not (it was the key not being turned off completely) but they willingly exchanged the scooter quickly and all with a helpful smile. In the past we have rented from Walker and we liked them too. The only thing we did not find helpful was that the headlight was very small on these newer models but they were new and clean and ran very smoothly.

Can anyone confirm that at this point, Scooterbug operates like most scooter companies USED to at the Disney resorts - they will drop off a reserved scooter with Bell Services, and guests can pick up/return through Bell? I know Disney changed the way they do this recently, but thought Scooterbug was the one company that still can. Thanks.
Thanks everyone
so if you rent from Gold mobility how does that work. How do you get your scooter? We drive so we don't know actually the exact time we will get there? Can they still meet us at the hotel? If so, how long after you arrive does it usually take them to arrive if you call them upon arrival? I don't want to be waiting hours for a scooter delivery. It will be easier to set up a pick up time when we leave of course, so not an issue there.
Gold Mobility texted me when I got on the bus (I'd given them my flight time), and when my ME bus got to the resort, I sat on the nearby bench and they arrived about 5 minutes later, and apologized for being late! For my return, I set up a time, which turned out to be about 15 minutes before I left for the airport. I find that meeting them is never a problem. Oh-the only "problem" I had last time was that some guy showed up out of nowhere and hung around, listening to everything we said. Turned out, he was a new employee in training and we all had a good laugh when I learned who he was.
We had a similar experience with Gold. We were driving in from Tampa after a cruise, so we texted them as we were leaving Tampa, and again as we arrived at the resort. Once we completed check-in they were there.
Pick up was even better, we gave them a time, and they were there waiting for us when we arrived a couple of minutes early. Could not have been easier.
