We had a late lunch there in May and enjoyed the food. All of our meals were good and no complaints. I would definitely get a reservations as the stand by line was pretty long. The good thing is, there is a lot of seating upstairs and down.
My husband and I both Loved Yak and Yeti. I had the combo Lo Mein and he had the Shaoxing Steak and Shrimp and both were delicious. Oh and the Fried Wontons dessert is to die for!
I went there maybe 5 years ago and thought the food was good. Value wise, I don't think it is anything special. It is a glorified Chinese restaurant where you can get the same food at their counter service station or at The Seasons at The Land in EPCOT. However, if you are in need of sparing a table-service restaurant and it has to be in AK, then sure I would say this good. You might find better bang for your buck at Boma or Sanaa at the AKL which is a short bus ride away. Sorry to be a downer
Yak n Yeti is very good. We love eating there with the atmosphere truly setting the tone.
Yak & Yeti is one of our very favorite places to eat! We think the food is very good and we book reservations there on every trip. And you've got to try the Fried Wontons, it's our favorite dessert in all of Disney World!
We love the food, but about half the time the service has been pretty awful.
My family likes Y&Y very much! It is a must eat at place for us!
We can offer yet another recommendation for Y&Y. We enjoy the food and the service very much. Over the past few years, AK has become our favorite park and we like spending time there. That led to regular meals at Y&Y most trips. We've tried many of the platters and really enjoy it. And the cream cheese wontons are an absolute must for dessert!!
We had eaten there a couple of times. We are not happy with the food or service. We have not been in a few years so perhaps things have changed.
We usually leave the park for dinner and head to AKL or another resort for dinner. Hope you have a good experience!
Thanks much to all that have responded. I appreciate all of the input.
I ate there last fall and really enjoyed it. The food was OK, nothing special, but the atmosphere was so interesting. There was so much to see-I told the server that they could give tours of the restaurant. To me, the fried won tons were good, but they didn't live up to the hype. I guess so many people rave about them that I expected to be blown away and I wasn't. Maybe I'd expected too much.
We haven't eaten here in a few years. Our last experience was right after we had both been ill so it wasn't a good experience. We have a ps at Yak n Yet I for our upcoming trip in Sept figured we would give it another try.
We've had lunch there and go there every year when we visit AK ,the food is healthy and varied and it's never dissapointed us
