Transportation to San Diego?

I am going to San Diego for a conference in March and figured it would be a great time to stop by Disneyland. I know there is a bus that I can grab from the airport to my hotel (Best Western Park Place) but what is the best way to get to San Diego? I wasn't planning on renting a car for the few hours it will take me to get down there from Anaheim.

You can take the Pacific Surfliner route of Amtrak between Anaheim (near the Angels' Stadium) and San Diego (Downtown). About a two hour ride depending on the amount of stops made along the way (varies throughout the day).
