# of Days on MYW Ticket
I have a question that I'm sure has been answered before, but I can't find it. If we want to book a package for the room, tickets and dining plan, do I need to buy the ticket for the number of days that we're going to be there? I know the Official Ticket Center has a special now where you buy 4 days and get the 5th day free. I'm wondering if I can just buy a 1 day ticket to get the dining plan and buy the other days from the Official Ticket Center to save a little money? We're going to be in Orlando for a couple of weeks staying with my family, but only 3 or 4 nights in the hotel. I plan on using the extra days on days we decide just to go to the parks, so even if I have 6 days total, they'll get used on this trip. I don't want to do anything shady, but I was curious.
Thanks!

There are no rules against doing what you describe, but you will LOOSE money doing it.
All Prices "INCLUDING TAX" for base tickets only...
If I understand you correctly, you propose buying a 1 day ticket from Disney (for $94.79) and a 5-day ticket for the price of a 4-day ticket at the OTC (for $270.00). Together you would get 6 days for $364.79
Buying a 6-day ticket straight from Disney would only be $296.07 (you can't buy from the OTC since you are getting the Dining Plan). Your proposal would cost you $68.72 MORE.
The number of park days on your package reservation does not have to be equal to the number of hotel nights. The number of park days can be anything from 1 to 10.

I 100% agree with everything Goofy4TheWorld wrote above.
Buy the 6-day ticket as part of your Disney resort package ... MUCH cheaper to do it that way, as Goof pointed out to you.
Nothing shady about it, it's totally legit. If you're staying 1 night you can buy a 10-day tcket, and if you're staying 10 nights you can buy a 1-day ticket, and anything in-between.

Also for what it's worth I think you need to buy at least a 2-day pass to get the free dining plan.
