I was wondering the same thing, I am signed up for the 3 year plan too. Odd, that there is zero information to this moment.
I was embarrassed to admit that I don't even know what "streaming" means. Yeah, I guess I'm a dinosaur.
I also signed up for the 3-year plan!
I did read an article last week that says Disney and Amazon finalized a deal so you can stream through the Amazon fire stick. We use the fire stick for all our streaming so I'm thinking you link through an app.
I am assuming that on my Samsung smart tv that I just download the app when it goes live tomorrow morning. The app is already showing on my DD's Xbox
I wonder what time it goes live. Of course, I'm wishing it would be 12am EST, but I doubt it.
It launched today and nothing but trouble. I too took the three year deal and when I hit the app on my tv for Disney+ it keeps telling me it cant hook up
I was able to launch Disney+ on both a Windows 10 & Roku Ultra without a problem between 6 am and 7:15 am. Today. No "app" was necessary - I just had to remember my password & it worked well. I streamed ... Toy Story 3! :mickey: Yeah, I had to put on something to test it & that wouldn't make me late for work, LoL!
It did not show up on our smart tv until this morning. At first I received an error when signing in. I waited and hour and now it is working just fine.
Mine periodically tells me service is unavailable depending on which section I'm in (home vs series vs movie, etc). Even then, it doesn't appear that the entire library is loading. At one point, only about 20 series showed up for selection. During another time, 3 times that many were optional. I'm sure their servers are overwhelmed, but I also wonder if they're rolling out availability a little at a time.
I'm still waiting to check. I got several errors this morning. I've been able to load the app onto my android phone and to my Kindle Fire without any issues. I've read some comments that those that have older Samsung smart tvs are having problems. Will find out when I get home. I have a firestick as well, which is supposed to work without any issues. It was cool to see all the content, but once you see one thing, you want more. Saw an episode of the old '60's Zorro with Guy Williams, hoping they upload the entire series.
I wasn’t able to get it to work until 10 pm last night ( after work). Watched one of the shorts. Looking forward to checking out all the choices.
We tried a number of times to get it to work with no luck last night. Kept saying service was unavailable like others have mentioned. I wasn't all that surprised though.....had a sneaking suspicion it would be buggy in the beginning.
Downloaded the app on my iPad after work and watched The Mandalorian without issue. I'm hooked! I'll probably download it for the Apple TV tonight. I'd like to see if there is an app for our Samsung smart TV, but the Apple TV would be fine too. The first episode of The Mandalorian was great for the true Star Wars fans. I hope to catch Jeff Goldblum and Imagineer shows tonight or tomorrow. Good stuff!
Just wanted to jump back in and say, this Disney+ is great: it is a wonderful mix of nostalgia and new. I highly recommend! :mickey:
