Not untill April or May!:mickey:
ugh..im hoping they are not there this sept..i leave in 8 days for disney..i remember back in 2006 when i went at the end of sept..eww..they were everywhere!! i havent heard much about them this year..so i think we will be good!!! :mickey:
I have only seen about 6 this week. They are not very heavy yet. There are actually two on my patio door right now.
We were in WDW during the 3rd week of September last year and it felt like we were being invaded! We leave in 12 days I hope they stay far away.
While I am not sure about Disney, I can say for certain that the love bugs are doing their thing in Mobile, Al.
We have always seen them in Sept...Hope they arent bad for your trip:mickey:
Are they around in Oct.?
Usually, they seem to be gone by early Oct. At worst I don't think you will see many.
I saw them coming down I-95 last week, heading for Orlando.
I just returned yesterday from a weeklong trip and didn't notice any. I was there two years ago the first week in October, and they were everywhere!!!
Judging from the condition of my windshield and grille over the past week, they have arrived, but not terribly heavy quite yet.
:bug:
:mickey: What are love bugs? I live on the west coast and have never heard of them. When living in Hawaii we had our hanger of B52 bommers, 747's and a few smaller aircraft. I am referring to the flying cockaroaches:D I am just curious if they are the same things.
:nono: No flying cucarachas! :nono:
Love bugs are absolutely harmless, but somewhat annoying tiny flying bugs that show up twice a year hereabouts. They don't bite, sting, or otherwise cause any harm to humans. More info from Wikipedia.
It seems like on our past trips they were more attracted to light colors, and water areas. When we were there in 2006 they were really heavy, but not near as bad in 2007.
Just got back Saturday and only saw two the whole time we were there. Thye always seemed to be pretty heavy in latter Sept and early Oct
Just got back on the 19th and for the first half of the trip we saw none, a few days before we left we started to see them but not a lot.:mickey:
