I heard a while back that a director was taking on a re-boot for a possible Haunted Mansion movie franchise. Obviously the Eddie Murphy take on it didn't garner enough praise to make into a franchise but I had heard someone was working on this with Disney now. Any thoughts?
Guillermo del Toro had agreed to direct it but since that original release of news about it quite a few months ago there has been nothing more. That doesn't mean the project is dead, just that there is nothing happening with it right now.
I was wondering the same thing. The original news was announced by del Toro (along with the little trailer they showed at the time) himself at Comic Con 2011, but there hasn't been any news since then. I'm hoping it's still a go cause I'd LOVE to see it!!
Interesting that we haven't heard any news on the Jungle Cruise or Magic Kingdom movies that were announced as well. :confused:

I'm glad they are making a new HM movie. The Eddie Murphy one was a disappointment.
