Day 4 – Monday May 24
We returned to the Studios today to do what we couldn’t get done yesterday, which was essentially everything. Brian went and got Fastpasses for Toy Story Mania right away, and the boys and I took our time catching up with him there. Then we split up so Euan and I could go to the Playhouse Disney show, and Harry and Brian could go ride the Tower of Terror, which Euan will no longer ride. We met up at the hat, and went over to see the Muppets, and then we got to ride Toy Story Mania. Brian and I realized how much better we are at it since we got the Wii version for at home. After that, it was time for our lunch ressie at the 50’s Prime Time Diner. Every couple of years we try this one, because we think we have been too harsh in our evaluation of the food, and every couple of years after eating there we say, “Why did we eat there?” The server did bring Harry and I cupcakes for our birthdays, which made Euan happy. After lunch we went on the Great Movie Ride without any kind of wait .... the boys just love the Alien scene. We were digging our day, and went over to the Animation courtyard to join a tour. Again, the kids really enjoyed seeing the Disney artist and Mushu ... and at the end of the tour, we joined a drawing class. That day we were learning to draw Tigger ... and the kids REALLY loved this, and did a very good job of it. On our way out, they stopped at the shop and they each purchased a sketch pad, and a “Learn to Draw...” book.
We left the park to go back and swim, and opted for pizza and movies. We borrowed Monsters Inc and Tron from the DVC Community Hall, and settled in for the evening. The boys drew in their sketch pads all night. What a terrific day!
